A liquor cabinet, also called a cellarette, is a small cabinet that comes in a variety of sizes, shapes, and designs and is used to store wine or whiskey bottles. They appeared in Europe as early as the 15th century and first appeared in America in the early 18th century. These liquor cabinets were popular in the 19th century. They were made of wood and were often designed to hide them from the casual observer. They were found in pubs, taverns and homes of the rich.
