Qian Jiang came to Sweden in 2011 and was immediately fascinated by Scandinavian design and craftsmanship. He noticed the traditional carpentry bench that exists in Sweden. The benches have wood screws with which a wooden workpiece that is to be sawn, chiseled or drilled is clamped more tightly or loosely. That was the inspiration for Skruvad, a coat rack where the wood screws serve a completely new purpose. The garments can be hung from both sides and it can be mounted without tools. Skruvad is made of solid beech and is available in black or white. It has four adjustable wood screws. It is delivered as a flat package, making it easy to transport.
