Bysted Garden is an addition to the iconic Bysted, designed by Peter Bysted in 1975. The idea behind the design of the bollard was to position the shades in a way that created an interesting pattern on the ground. The choice of corten steel as a material was revolutionary at the time – and still constitutes a major component of the product’s identity. Bysted Garden is an almost identical, downscaled version of the original Bysted bollard, perfected for easy on-the-spot installation to improve the quality of light in both commercial and residential outdoor spaces. The downscaled design is based on the same concept as the original Bysted with four rings that redirect the light downwards, while glowing at night and giving the product individuality and character. Minor modifications were made to the original Bysted design. The bolts on top of the garden fixture have been removed for a more streamlined, minimalistic look. Bysted Garden is as standard available in a corten colour finish or aluminium finish. The fixture has been developed in durable cast aluminium that will not patinate over time. Available in two different heights, Bysted Garden allows for a wider range of installations from entrance areas to planter boxes on roof terraces. Bysted Garden is connected to an adapter, which can run up to four bollards, with a maximum distance of 30 metres to the last bollard. The fixture can truly stand out both individually and in installations with multiple units. It is just as beautifully suited to a natural setting as it is in an urban garden environment, where it will create an attractive atmosphere.
