The tower of the baroque church, known for its serpentine peak, takes you to a height of 90 meters above street level. The construction of the church, initiated by the enterprising King Christian IV, began in 1617. However, the first steps to the top of the church tower were not added until 1752. Today, the tower with its 400 steps is a popular tourist attraction – the last 150 steps are on the outside of the tower – and offers a unique view from above.
