Hans J. Wegner's CH337 Dining Table from 1962 is made of solid wood. With its inviting shape and the possibility of expanding the number of seats to twelve, the table is suitable for both daily use and festive occasions. The design is characterized by the excellently finished elliptical table top and the elegant conical legs. The harmonious shape of the solid table top is one of the most striking features, and thanks to the transverse wood grain, the joint between the tops is barely visible. The horizontal rails are placed at an angle to optimally support the wood. They have been shaped to be widest at the connection points with the legs to provide optimal support. Where space is needed for the legs, they are narrower. The CH337 is one of three tables in the series with the same width but different lengths. They all have elliptical table tops and are available with up to four additional tops, so the tables can be easily adapted to different occasions and requirements.
