In the 1930s, handmade model racing cars were created, known as Spindizzies or Tether Cars. Miniature racing cars built by hobbyists race around elevated wooden tracks at speeds of nearly 150 miles per hour. Similar to the full-grown racers of their time, several spindiczies competed against each other at the same time, which were attached to a central pole with cables. Powered by model airplane engines, Spindizzies raced against the clock. Incredibly detailed and aerodynamic, these miniature racing cars were more than just toys; They were works of art representative of the best breakthrough technology of the time. Our Bantam Midget model has been designed according to original plans and resembles the original down to the smallest detail. One look and you are ready to enter the competition.
