The foyer bench, one of three pieces of furniture created by Vilhelm Lauritzen in 1945 for the Copenhagen Radiohus, which today houses the Royal Danish Conservatory of Music. The bench is simple in its expression and has an upholstery with handmade buttons on a solid oak frame. The length and comfort of the seat are adapted to today's needs without compromising on the original design. Vilhelm Theodor Lauritzen was one of Denmark's most influential architects and a father of Danish modernism. Today, many of his projects are lasting examples of a new and revolutionary approach to architecture, where form followed function.
