This Moomin placemat for the pet food bowls is handmade in Finland out of PEFC certified birch veneer. The wooden surface is laminated with melamine, so placemat is easy to keep clean - whipe it with a damp cloth or wash in the diswasher. Muurla donates part of the sales of the Moomin for Pets products to the research work of the DogRisk research program. DogRisk is a Helsinki University based research group. They do in­de­pend­ent research on the associations between dogs' nu­tri­tion and their dis­eases and they also study scent detection dogs.
